8th Grade Family Night

Join us on Wednesday, February 25, 2026 for 8th Grade Family Night! 

• 5:15-5:50 p.m. -- Orientation for NON-RSD Middle School Families only
  • Registration presentation for students entering from outside of RSD middle schools (private schools, PCOA, HomeLink, out-of-district). Event will take place in the library. Please join us in the Commons for 8th Grade Family Night following the orientation.
     
• 6:00-7:15 p.m. -- 8th Grade Family Night for All Incoming 9th Grade Students
  • Information for families with students who are entering Hanford HS in 9th grade for the 2026-2027 school year. Event will start in the Commons.

Current RSD Students (must have an RSD email address): 

Students and parents must complete a Google Form together. To access the form students must be logged into their RSD Google account:

COURSE SELECTION FORM FOR RSD STUDENTS  (REQUIRED) 

All steps must be completed by MARCH 13.  Students failing to meet the deadline will not receive priority registration and counselors will fill schedules with available classes.
 

Students Not Currently Enrolled in RSD:

1. Students not currently registered with RSD must complete enrollment paperwork found at: RSD Enrollment Information
2. Students and parents must complete a Google Form together: Course Selection Form for students without an RSD email address

2026-2027 Sophomore Course Overview 

Current RSD Students (must have an RSD email address)

To register, current RSD students must complete the following three steps:

1. Counselors will be presenting registration information (starting the week of 2/17) in Language Arts Classes. (If students are absent for this presentation they should make an appointment to see their counselor, as needed.)

2. Students will bring home and review the registration paper (course overview linked above) with parents.  Circle/designate courses you want to take on this form.

3. Students will bring the form back to school for a one-on-one meeting with their counselor (during their Language Arts class).  Their counselor will enter courses into PowerSchool during the meeting. Meetings start on 2/25, so students should be prepared with their selections by that time.
