ORIGINAL POST:

Augustin Dulauroy may not have graduated high school yet, but he has already directed a feature documentary!

Augustin Dulauroy

His film “Hanford” examines the history of the Hanford site from before its creation to present day. Augustin interviewed historians, scientists, and long-time Richland residents for the documentary. Memories of daily life were woven together with stories of Hanford’s role in the cold war, along with today’s clean-up efforts.

“Digging into archives and speaking with historians and scientists, like Ron [Kathren of WSU Tri-Cities], helped me realize that the story of Hanford is not just the story of a nuclear reactor,” Augustin says.

An exclusive, one night only premiere of “Hanford” will be held at Queensgate Fairchild Cinemas in Richland on February 28 at 6:30 and 7:15 p.m. Purchase tickets at www.fairchildcinemas.com

The film will be available to rent on Amazon Prime Video and Vimeo On Demand beginning March 2. Watch the official trailer at https://youtu.be/InWwvcW8bns.
