The Arc of Tri-Cities is hosting our summer day camp for kids with disabilities and we are in need of youth volunteers! Camp starts Wednesday, June 23rd and runs for 9 weeks up until August 20th. We need help supervising and entertaining these kids. They thrive off of this peer interaction and it means the world for these families, knowing that their son or daughter has a friend at camp. We operate Monday-Friday 10:00 am to 3:00 pm.
Many of the kids we serve have been isolated and sitting at home due to Covid. We are looking for volunteers who can help support our cause and we offer a small paid stipend to say thank you. This is also a great opportunity to gain some volunteer hours for educational requirements and this looks great on job applications and resumes.
- 4 weeks= $425.00
- 5 weeks= $525.00
- 6 weeks= $625.00
We ask that our youth volunteers commit at least 4 weeks of their summer in order to get the stipend as well submitting a short essay on their experience at camp. Of course we encourage them also to stay as many weeks as they possibly can.
Online applications available by clicking HERE.
